Dr. Z S Meharawal is one of the leading Cardiac Surgeons in India.
With an experience of over 27+ years, he is a part of the founding team of doctors at Fortis Escorts Heart Institute.
He has more than 20,000 cardiac surgeries to his credit.
He is amongst few cardiac surgeons performing heart transplantation and ventricular assist device implantation.
Dr. Meharawal has been invited to national and international meetings as faculty.
He has more than 40 publications in peer-reviewed journals to his credit.
His areas of specialization are carotid endarterectomy, pump coronary artery bypass, coronary artery bypass surgery, heart surgery, treatment of heart failure, heart attacks, heart diseases, etc.
He also performs a successful coronary artery bypass surgery on a 94-year-old man.
After completing his MBBS in 1982, he did MS in General Surgery in 1985 and MCh in Cardio-Thoracic and Vascular Surgery from King George’s Medical College, Lucknow, in 1987.
Dr. Meharawal has received the President Award for his contribution to the field of Cardiovascular Surgery.
He did numerous contributions in the field of cardiac surgery and has done many surgeries at Fortis Escorts.
