Dr. Shakti delivered Annual Oration on “Fetal Origin of Adult Diseases” at the 26th Annual Conference of the Association of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Delhi in October 2004.
She delivered Achanta Lakshmipur hi Oration for the year 2005-2006 for the National Academy of Medical Sciences in Hyderabad.
Has been the Academic Co-ordinator from 1995 to 1997 and 2002 to 2005 and the clinical Co-ordinator from 2000 to 2002 and from 2008 to date
She received the WHO Intra country fellowship in 1982.
Dr. Shakti is associated with a number of societies like FOGSI, AOGD, NARCHI, FOGI, and IMS.
She is also a member of the Association of Diabetologists of India and the Indian Association of Gynae-Endoscopists.
Education: She did her MBBS from the University of Jammu and Kashmir in 1964 and her MD from the University of Delhi in 1969. She received fellowships from WHO, FICOG, FICMCH, NAMS Minimal Access Surgery WALS, AMS Delhi etc.
