In 1986, Dr. Sandhu completed his MBBS from Armed Forces Medical College. From the same college, he completed his MD in medicine in 1993. In the same year, he passed his DNB in medicine. For outstanding achievement during his MD, he was awarded a Gold medal. In 2001, he completed his DM in Cardiology from PGIMER, Chandigarh. Dr. Sandhu is a Fellow of American College of Cardiology and also a Fellow of Society of Cardiac Angiography and Interventions. He is currently the Medical Director and Director-Cardiology at Artemis Hospital. Prior to this, he was associated with Batra hospital, and Army College of Medical Sciences, Delhi Cantt.
Dr. Sandhu is an honorable member of the European Association of Percutaneous Interventions, European Society of Cardiology, Society for Cardiac Angiography and Interventions, American College of Cardiology, and American Heart Association. He was also the accompanying Cardiologist to The President of India on tours. His clinical practice is largely focused on Pacemakers, ICD’s and Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy Implants, Peripheral Interventions including Carotid and Renal, Complex Coronary Interventions, Balloon Valvuloplasty and Device Closure of Congenital Heart Defects. In more than 16 years of post-graduate experience, he performed more than 20000 procedures.
